About J2 Holding AB
J2 Holding AB is a Swedish engineering company specializing in electronics, embedded systems and technical development.
Based in Sjögestad, outside Linköping, J2 is a small, owner-operated engineering company working with industrial customers, research institutes and universities. Projects range from specialized electronics and measurement systems to firmware, data acquisition and technical problem solving.
Company history
J2 Holding AB was founded in 2004 in Linköping's technology and research environment. The original business concept was to provide engineering and technology development to small technology companies, with part of the compensation taken as equity in the companies being assisted. This is the origin of the Holding in the company name.
The equity-based business model was abandoned relatively early, and J2 developed into an engineering company providing electronics development and other technical services directly to industrial and research customers. The original company name was retained.
Over the years, the company has worked on projects ranging from research prototypes and experimental sensor systems to industrial electronics that have remained in production and been further developed for many years. J2 has carried out contracted development work for companies, RISE and universities.

Repair and legacy equipment
Not every technical problem requires a new product. J2 also troubleshoots and repairs specialized electronic equipment where replacement may be difficult or expensive. This includes laboratory and clean-room equipment, power electronics, sputtering equipment and other specialized systems.
Work on older equipment may involve fault finding down to component level, replacement of obsolete components, analysis of undocumented circuitry, or development of replacement electronics when original parts are no longer available.
This combination of new development and component-level troubleshooting is also valuable when maintaining or redesigning existing industrial products.
